
Ali Riza Bozkurt was born March 12, 1941 and passed November 27, 2018. He was the embodiment of the Renaissance man with a hunger for knowledge, thirst for life and unyielding energy for work, putting into practice the core of the Renaissance philosophy, “a man can do all things if he will.”

He was the 1st of his family to attend college, he moved on to complete is graduate studies in Civil Engineering at the prestigious Istanbul Technical University and Fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He was a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, artist, and author. He was inspired by the great thinkers and artists of our times and motivated to carry their legacy of artistic beauty into contemporary items using modern techniques. Among is notable works are several books he authored on man and democracy, the Anatolian Architectural and Furniture Heritage Museum (Merik Konagi) and the glass engraving collection he commissioned.
Alin Oltean was the lead artist for the glass engraving collection which has over 200 plates. He was born and lives in Romania. Alin worked for over 10 years, employing additional artists at times, to complete The Dore Bible series as well as a few pieces by Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Each plate took approximately 3 months to complete. Gustave Dore was one of the most successful book illustrators of the late 19th century France. He produced numerous works during his time in Paris between 1847-1866 using lithographs and later wood-engraved book illustrations. Among his finest were the Inferno of Dante (1861) and the Bible (1866).
